Types of Therapy

My qualification is in pluralistic counselling which means that it is guided by the needs of each individual client and is led by your wishes.

The therapies used can include a pure person centred approach (more), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) or older psychodynamic approach (more) if this is what you feel you want or need.

We will work together to decide what approach would be best for you as an individual.

I may, when appropriate, also use a questionnaire constructed by Mick Cooper and John Norcross to establish the type of counselling that would fit your needs – Cooper-Norcross Inventory of Preferences.
